It is winter in our part of the world. Our bright blue skies are cheerful despite the wintry winds. The downside of winter is comfort eating. I usually don’t want to go out in winter, unless it is absolutely essential. Not moving much is not that good for my waistline. As in every winter, my waist is looking for new ways to expand 🙂
As always, I start with good intentions….healthy eating, working out. Next something urgent pops up and my workouts and healthy eating slip away into oblivion. There are piles of healthy eating recipe books in a corner. I like to start healthy cooking and sometimes it is not practical with the others in the family. OK….I need to stop this negativity and start thinking what I could do and make little changes.
‘Got to put my thinking hat on………It should be fun. It should be a light work out. I was at a lecture this week where they incidentally had a slide on squats. It was pretty impressive to see how simple squats can strengthen the glutes and the core muscles.
I will start with a warm up and 10 simple squats.
